SAFE HOUSE

With Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Brendon Gleason, Robert Patrick, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Fares Fares, Vera Farmiga

Written by David Guggenheim

Directed by Daniel Espinosa

Reynolds is a rookie CIA operative manning an undercover safe house in Cape Town, South Africa. He wants to get into the field, but his superiors are stalling a promotion, resulting in him being bored to tears.
But, when a wanted renegade CIA agent selling secrets to the highest bidder hits town to make a deal, a deadly confrontation lands him at the safe house. He is tracked down by the men who tried to kill him and they take the place apart. As the only CIA survivor, the rookie has to go on the run with his prisoner. Chases and shoot-outs lead towards the truth, with the crafty rogue constantly messing with the rookie's head. With danger on their heels, they have to work together, no matter what. This leads to a good dose of action, chases, shoot-outs and suspense.

The filmmakers make the most of the great Cape Town locations, and locals will have a ball seeing the familiar spots.

An extra feature takes a look the workings behind some of the movie's action scenes.
